Individual Psychotherapy Sessions
I do in person and zoom sessions, and sessions are 60 minutes. My fee is $190 for an individual session. I tailor sessions according to what kind of work fits best for you. Some people respond best to IFS Parts work (Internal Family Systems); other people like somatic work, while others like Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy work. Most often I weave in IFS and EFT (EFIT is for individual therapy) together, as they blend very well and I am comfortable going back and forth with these styles. I also do EMDR for trauma, and somatic work for trauma. And I do KAP, Ketamine assisted psychotherapy.
Couples Therapy
For couples therapy I do Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, 60 minute sessions, my fee is $200 for a couples therapy session. Here’s a summary of this amazing couples therapy method:
Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) is a short-term, structured approach to couples therapy developed by Dr. Sue Johnson. It is based on attachment theory and aims to help partners form stronger emotional bonds by identifying and transforming negative interaction patterns. EFT is one of the most empirically validated forms of couples therapy. Multiple studies and meta-analyses show that 70–75% of couples move from distress to recovery, and approximately 90% show significant improvement. Gains from EFT are typically maintained over time (up to 2 years or more post-therapy). Studies report low relapse rates compared to other couples therapy approaches: EFT has been shown to be effective across diverse populations, including heterosexual and same-sex couples, couples dealing with trauma, depression, or chronic illness, and various cultural backgrounds. Mechanism of Change: EFT helps couples: Recognize and reframe emotional responses, develop secure attachment and emotional responsiveness, interrupt negative cycles like demand-withdraw or blame-defend. Comparison to other therapies: EFT often shows superior outcomes to traditional behavioral therapies (like CBT for couples), especially in emotional closeness and relationship satisfaction. It also focuses more on deep emotional bonding rather than just behavior change or communication skills. Limitations: May be less effective if one or both partners are unwilling to engage emotionally or have untreated individual disorders (e.g., severe substance abuse, personality disorders). EFT is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment for couples experiencing distress. Its focus on emotional connection and secure attachment makes it particularly well-suited for helping couples rebuild intimacy and resolve deep-rooted relational patterns.
