I received a masters degree in counseling psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco in 1989, and then my MFT license in 1992. I worked at a number of mental health agencies in my early years - 2 years at a shelter for teens in trouble (in Santa Fe), a year at a suicide prevention center in the Bay Area, 2 years in agencies with clients with severe mental disorders, 3 years at a Family Service agency in San Rafael, CA, and a 3 year internship at the Marina counseling center in San Francisco. I’ve been in private practice since 1992, in San Francisco and San Rafael, CA. I’m now working only in San Rafael, CA.
